Hamels and Lidge Updates – May 1, 2009
Tonight we should learn more about the health of both Cole Hamels and Brad Lidge.  They are set to throw bullpen sessions before tonight’s game against the Mets.  Hamels, who left Tuesday’s game with a left ankle sprain, is set on making his next start on Monday in St. Louis.
Lidge, on the other hand, could wind up pitching in tonight’s game if he makes it through the bullpen s...

I Told Me So?
Remember when I told you to stay the hell away from the Nats’ closer situation?  Well, sometimes I can not even take the advice I dish out, because I added Julian Tavarez in one of my leagues.  Luckily for me, I added him yesterday which means he was not in my lineup for last night’s debacle.  Dude gave up two earned runs (five total runs) to go with the two hits and two w... Prior List Alert – Kenshin Kawakami April 30, 2009
The Atlanta Braves have pushed Kenshin Kawakami’s next start back due to soreness in his right shoulder.  He was blown up on Sunday by the Reds, giving up eight earned runs in just 4.2 innings of work.  When he was pitching in Japan, he was part of a six man rotation, so it is understandable that he needs time to adjust to taking the hill more frequently.  However, it is n... Bart Given Breaks Down the Prior List
Over at InsideTheMajors.com, Bart Given looks at things from a front office perspective.  He should know, since he is the former VP of Baseball Operations and GM of the Toronto Blue Jays.  Mr. Given has a great entry up breaking down the Prior List, and he will be posting a second entry about it soon.  I am going to refrain from doing any cutting and pasting, or quoting so...
