Strasburg Makes His Debut
First of all, everyone needs to keep things in perspective right now.  It is Spring Training, and a lot of deceiving stats are going to be floating around.  You have to really look into a box score to get a feel for a game, unless you were fortunate enough to watch it.  For someone like Stephen Strasburg, however, the stats are going to be much more accurate.  Dude faced the top of the Tigers' lineup, and threw two scoreless frames.  He failed to throw a single fastball under 96 MPH, and only threw first pitch strikes to a mere two of the eight batters he faced.

Strasburg gave up two hits, both with two outs in the second inning.  He responded well, not giving up a single run in his two frames of work.  He struck out two, and his other four outs were all induced by ground balls.  Not too shabby of a Spring Training debut.

We will continue to monitor Strasburg and update his roster status has March goes on.  Right now, I am starting to think the Nats may choose to keep him in AAA to start the year, and call him up in June.  This comes from comments about them "doing what is best for the club", not the season.  Fiscally speaking, it is certainly in the Nats' best interest to keep dude from becoming a Super Two player, unless they are going to just go ahead and lock him up for the next five years like Tampa Bay did with Longoria, or Milwaukee did with Braun.
