Madson's Value Holding Steady
By: mbohn

Ryan Madson's value is holding steady heading into tonight's game
against the Houston Astros. The Phillies interim closer may have only
appeared once so far this season, but he has notched a save and two Ks
in his 1.1 innings of work. So why is his stock holding steady?
Because
Brad Lidge got blasted in his first rehab appearance for Single A
Clearwater on Saturday.
Dude could not even make it through a single
frame, giving up four earned runs, three hits, and walking a batter. It
seems the questions about Lidge's health will linger for a while, with
this being his first game action since taking the needle (cortisone) on
March 30th. We will be following Lidge's progress, or lack thereof if
that is the case.
