Soriano Throws a Perfecto
Ok, so it might not have been a perfect game, but Rafael Soriano was about as perfect as possible last night against the Los Angeles Angels.  Dude came in to try and close the door in the ninth inning and struck out the side.  Sure, that happens quite a bit, but not in the fashion that Soriano accomplished the feat.  The leader in all of MLB for saves this season with 38, Soriano needed just nine pitches to record his three strikeouts.  This is just the 44th time anyone has struck out the side on a mere nine pitches in baseball history.  Of course, the most surprising thing about this is the fact that Soriano is still pitching this late in the season.

(Yes, I know the picture is of Soriano in a Braves uni, but you try finding a picture measuring 500 in width...)

On the plus side, it does give us a chance to prepare for such an eventuality, both in practical terms -- I'm thinking I need a ham radio and I need to learn morse code, for example -- and to make it clear to our congress critters NOW that we won't play that game.
It was a beneficial workout for me to go through your webpage. It definitely stretches the limits with the mind when you go through very good info and make an effort to interpret it properly.
